We were delighted to see members and the community for a holiday celebration at Shara Community Gardens in December!
The gardens provided the perfect venue to meet neighbours and connect with friends in the lead up to Christmas. Live music from Christina Giorgio and Janet Swain set the scene, as folks set up picnics and rugs.
Santa brought seeds and treats to the kids. While the treats were devoured quickly, we’re sure to see sunflowers across the area for weeks and months to come!
For the second year in a row, we partnered with the Fastest Runner on Clifford Street – ‘celebrating some, and disappointing most since 2001’. And also for the second year in a row, we just managed to squeeze the music, fun, Santa and the race before a big storm swept through! It made for a quick tidy up!
Thanks to the community for supporting the Gardens and to Damian Farrell and the Shara Community Gardens committee for their work in organising this event.
