Last Sunday, Shara Community Gardens was buzzing with excitement as we officially launched our new kids’ garden bed, dedicated to the youngest members of the community garden.
The event was a fantastic mix of gardening and creativity. With gloves on and spades in hand, we gathered to plant strawberries, herbs, and sunflowers.
The garden bed offers a hands-on experience for children to enjoy and explore. To add to the fun, we organised craft activities where the kids created rock art and bead decorations for the garden.
The morning was a joy, filled with the fun and simple pleasure of gardening together. Seeing the kids proudly display their craft and plant their seeds made it clear that this garden bed will be a special part of the Gardens.
Families are welcome to visit the garden and watch it grow. It’s a great place for kids to enjoy the experience of watching their plants develop.
