How you can support Shara Community Gardens

Whether you’re a regular green thumb, or you’re thinking about getting your hands dirty for the first time, we’d love to see you at the Gardens!

1. Annual memberships support the gardens to buy materials and equipment and to cover public liability insurance, Council lease and water bills. We keep all this going through community memberships.

Benefits of being a member include –

• Cultivating organic fruit and veg in your neighbourhood
• Contributing to a local green space
• Participating in events at the Gardens, including workshops and social gatherings. Check out what’s happening via Facebook
• Meeting like-minded members of the community
• As much (or as little!) involvement as you like

2. Make a donation. Your donation will really help to support the gardens. Thanks to Mullum SEED, you can make a tax-deductible donation to Shara Community Gardens here.

3. Share excess produce at our Edible Exchange. Our exchange is on Shara Boulevarde and is a space where people can share excess produce with the rest of the community – with the added bonus of raising money for the gardens. 

4. Join workshops, social gatherings and events to plant, harvest, mulch etc. We aim to have a Sunday catch up once a month where you can meet other members and have a chat. We have a lovely bunch of people who love the gardens and what it offers the community. Check out what’s happening via Facebook

5. We have a committee that can always do with a hand. If you have specific skills that you’d like to offer then please let us know 🙂
