Thanks to a beautiful joint intention, a long incubation period and a recent boost of energy from members and friends of the garden, our Edible Exchange is now functional and open to the community!
We invite you to bring your extra produce from your own gardens to exchange or offer to the community at Shara Community Garden’s new road side stall. There is a donation pole next to the exchange for your cash donations, and we are very happy to report people are now using it! Please keep it up so we can pay our bills and keep this community space alive and kicking. It’s been a tough few years for everyone in our community in one way or another and our energy in the gardens has ebbed and flowed. We feel that getting involved to share, connect and support each other is what community is made for, so we are very happy to be providing this gift to the community.
